Our showcase in Paris
Our June event featured three Parisian designers: Di Fretto, Victor Levai and Alice Lahana. Each design sculptural pieces at the frontier between art and design. They also not only design, but also make each piece themselves.
Aurélie Fretti – aka Di Fretto – presented her first collection during our event. Her work is a tribute to life and nature, an ode to the beauty and simplicity of things.
The Babka wall lamp represents, for Aurélie, the twist of DNA, the very essence of life.
The bust is a representation of the elegance of the female body, a celebration of the human body, of femininity and of life itself.
Alice Lahana presented a new large version of her iconic Ondulation mirror, a spontaneous, organic design. Each piece is slightly different, as Alice gives free rein to her creativity when making the piece rather than following a rigid template.
The Iris lamp, Alice Lahana’s first light, is a nod to the Ondulation mirror, the glass plate recalling the shape of the mirror. This piece features a play of transparency and light by day when daylight is reflected on the Listral glass plate, and by night when the bulb is switched on.
Victor Levai is a sculptor who graduated from the Paris Beaux Arts, and who is very inspired by plants and by the natural world. His new ceramic wall lamp recalls the shape of a branch.
Thanks to Thibault (@hebdomania) for the wonderful photos and Jen (@jenhartsmith) for the fantastic catering!
