PALMARIA WALL LIGHT by Amande Haeghen

The Palmaria wall light is made in white chamotte stoneware.  A subtle evocation of the eponymous Italian island, it takes the form of a rectangle with rounded edges, open at both ends.

At its center runs a well, like an imprint left by time, by wind, by the sea. This rift, far from rigid, undulates softly, reminiscent of the movement of the waves. It is filled with a deep blue glaze.

Fine sand rests along the vertical, as if the mineral fissure captured the memory of a beach. Each grain seems to tell a story: that of Chiara Colombini’s childhood holidays in Liguria, that of the island of Palmaria, between the sea and the mountains...

Exclusively created by Amande Haeghen to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the store, Palmaria is a tribute to the beauty of nature captured in its purest abstraction. A dialogue between material and memory, between the rough and the smooth, where every detail is thoughtfully crafted to capture the essence of a place and a moment.
