The Babka Empreinte wall light plays a subtle game between tool and artwork, between gesture and material. Born from an audacious idea, this piece transforms the mold into the final object, a fascinating inversion where the process itself becomes creation.

The Babka Empreinte takes on the twisted imprint of the Babka, a signature motif of Di Fretto Studio, inspired by the Polish pastries of Aurélie Fretti’s childhood. It is shaped from dense chamotte white clay, forming a twisted, irregular design that evokes the whirlwinds of life, while its generous curves capture the very essence of indulgence.

The light, soft and enveloping, diffuses from both the top and bottom, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere. When unlit, the piece retains its sculptural strength, transporting one into a universe both powerful and poetic.

Each Babka Empreinte is unique, handcrafted in the Di Fretto atelier. More than a simple wall light, it is a luminous sculpture, marked by strong character, at the crossroads of art and functionality.
