Artist - sculptor Victor Levai draws his inspiration from the world of plants. His work has a poetical, dreamlike quality.
The Du Restant wall lights are part of a series of sculptures begun in 2020 entitled "Celle-là et Les Autres", which combine ceramic and steel. The steel structure acts as a branch supporting the leaves, each made by hand in ceramic and glazed in different hues of green and off-white.
The name "du Restant" refers to a place in the forest of Fontainebleau south of Paris, the Restant du Long Rocher.
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Victor Levai lives and works in Paris.
The Restant wall light is handmade in France.
