Michael Anastassiades' designs originate from a philosophical but also poetic process. He aims to create objects that can produce a permanent value, at the frontier with artwork.
This collection, for Italian manufacturer Flos, explores balance. "I came across an online video clip of a contact juggler. He was spinning a set of spheres, moving them around on his arms and edge of his fingers. And as I got mesmerised by the magic of his skill, suddenly the spheres looked perfectly still. I wanted to capture that exact moment."
The Double IC wall / ceiling light is available in either brushed brass or chrome, with an opal blown glass diffuser.
