CORNETTE CERAMIC WALL LIGHT by Main Edition

Cornette wall light, Main Edition.

The "Cornette" wall lights are inspired by the distinctive headwear of nuns; a Cornette being a piece of large starched white cloth, folded upwards, and worn on the head. 

The wall lights were designed on the occasion of the rehabilitation of a house in the Lapa district of Lisbon, where many monasteries were once located. They are made of a single sheet of folded earthenware, and can be installed either upwards or downwards.

The Cornettes are supplied without an electrical system, they are designed to be hung on the wall over an existing lampholder. We recommend an E14 lampholder and a warm LED bulb.

Made by hand by Victoire de Lencquesaing, founder of Main Edition, in her workshop in Lisbon, Portugal.
