PARENTESI LIGHT by Flos
Parentesi Flos Floor Light.
The Parentesi light, designed in 1971, by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù for Flos, is widely recognised as an iconic piece of design. It received the Compasso d'Oro award and is now part of the permanent collection of the Moma in New York and Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
The name "Parentesi" (bracket in Italian) comes from the shape of the central part of the lamp. This "bracket" can slide along the the steel wire, allowing the position of the light bulb to go from floor to ceiling. The bulb itself is also fully orientable, it swivels at a 360° angle and can be rotated easily up or down, thus allowing the light source to be perfectly positioned in any interior. The light is ideal for both general indirect lighting or task lighting. The Parentesi lamp is fitted with a dimmer switch.
Parentesi takes a 105W E27 or a LED 8W E27 light bulb (not included). It comes with a dimmer switch. The length of the steel wire can be adjusted (up to 4m). U.S version available upon request.
