Within the galaxy of Italian lighting from the 1970s and 1980s, some pieces became best-sellers. Others have transcended the era, leaving memories as powerful as their halogen lighting. One such example is Mezzaluna, a half-moon floor lamp designed in 1975 by Bruno Gecchelin - two Compasso d'Oro - which became symbolic of a decade but was overshadowed by outdated halogen lighting.True to his spirit of exploration in design, driven by a desire for impactful lighting, Frédéric Winkler revisits the potential of Mezzaluna. Symbolic of an era, yet overshadowed by outdated halogen lighting.

He reached out to Bruno Gecchelin and his son, also Designer and in 2024, DCW Editions releases Mezzaluna in LED, even more powerful, energy-efficient, and as bold as ever. A reissue that propels it into orbit.

Designed to illuminate an entire room, the Mezzaluna floor lamp comes with customizable lighting atmospheres through filters. Another aspect to consider: color options. In addition to the original white and black, Mezzaluna embarks on a new journey with shades of red, yellow, chrome, and carbon blue.

Variable light intensity : up to 6000 lm (via the sliding hand dimmer)

Variable light temperature, with 3 possibilities:

1/ 3000 Kelvins = Cool white

2/ 2700 Kelvins = Warm white with filter to be added (included)

3/ 2300 Kelvins = Very warm white with filter to be added (included)

Adjustable height via a telescopic system (min 1840 mm / max 2210 mm) and adjustable light orientation via its swivel head.
