Following the Gras lamp and Supril chair, for DCW Editions, the Mantis was the third coup of a company built on the singular exploration of rare forms and objects of the twentieth century. 

A wired silhouette that evokes a praying mantis un weightlessness, the Mantis floor lamp has been structurally tweakd and improved by DCW. Playing on the tension between balance and imbalance, the Mantis BS8 floor lamp is still composed of a long steel rod but swapping its original system of rack and counterweight for an ingenious squaring of the circle with suggestive graphics and voids. With 1.60 or 1.70 meters high and its push button on the cable, the Mantis BS8 floor lamp fits perfectly in an office room.
