The creation of the Ixchel floor light embodies the principle of duality. This project emerges from the convergence of two realms – design and fine woodworking. A duality that evolves into harmony and complementarity, where expert craftsmanship engages in a dialogue, raising questions and offering responses.

It is the result of a collaboration between Denise Bresciani, a ceramic designer, and Anne-Aurélie Morell, a master woodworker, who have joined forces to co-create a luminous sculptural piece. This unique object is meticulously crafted by merging ceramic modeling with oak woodwork. The floor lamp is born from the encounter of their chosen materials - clay and wood - with the intent to elevate and magnify them through the precision of lines, the fullness of curves, the interplay of smooth and textured surfaces, the hidden and the revealed, and the dance between shadow and light within the mass.

Ixchel rises gracefully from a wooden pedestal crowned by two elements - autonomous yet inseparable screens fashioned from ceramic and wood - standing one behind the other, allowing a halo of light to subtly emerge through the interplay of materials.
