Galerie MCDE has manufactured architect and designer Pierre Chareau's work for over 30 years.
Founded by collector Maxime Defert - who viewed the continuation of Chareau's legacy as a duty - the gallery is now run by Pierre-Emmanuel Risch and his team.
Like Pierre Chareau, who produced his pieces in close collaboration with selected craftsmen, Galerie MCDE relies on French craftsmen, cabinetmakers and ironworkers, who continue producing a collection of about 80 pieces designed by Chareau in the first half of the twentieth century.
Galerie MCDE recently partnered with interior designers Hauvette & Madani to launch the "Fly Gaby" light, a reinterpretation of one of Pierre Chareau's iconic pieces, the "Mouche" wall light. The result highlights both the talent of designer duo Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani and the technical prowess of Galerie MCDE.
