Based near Lisbon, Portugal, Studio Éème is a ceramic and design studio focused on lighting and sculptures. At the heart of its creations lie themes of fertility, movement, and tenderness.
The studio’s creative journey has been a blend of meditation, writing, and dance, which translates into the clay through gentle gestures and instinctual forms. Prioritizing process over visual outcome is central to the work, imbuing each piece with quiet resolve and a unique narrative. Deepening this approach through commissions, partnerships, and diverse training practices is the cornerstone of Studio Éème’s evolution as a design studio.
In 2023, Studio Éème unveiled its debut collection. By spring 2024, it had been selected to showcase at Lisbon’s premier collectible design fair, Lisbon by Design.
Over the course of a year, the studio was highlighted in several national and design publications and began sharing its journey on the publishing platform Substack, inviting subscribers to follow along.
