Lisbon's Praça das Flores is home to Flores, a textile showroom and interior design studio. It was founded by two friends: Valentina Pilia, an Italian interior designer who worked at the Pierre Yovanovich studio in Paris before moving to Lisbon, and Emma Pucci, a French-Swiss architect who also gained experience in the film industry as a production designer.
These two textile enthusiasts have a long love affair with the material. Emma spent many years in India, while Valentina explored Morocco, two countries where their fascination with handicrafts was born.
Shortly after arriving in Lisbon, Emma and Valentina were inspired to set up their own studio, a place where they could meet their customers for their interior design projects. Praça das Flores quickly emerged as the ideal location: a picturesque square, still imbued with authenticity, with local cafés and boutiques, yet strategically close to the antique shops of São Bento.
