Blue Valerie Lounge Chair by Marie Michielssen x Serax.

For Marie Michielssen, creating a piece of furniture always begins with a series of sketches on paper. She constructs the volumes with mathematical precision, ensuring the proportions are perfect and suited to the human body.

For the Valerie low chair, she started with an elliptical base to which she added two rectangular planes, the seat and the backrest, forming a perfect angle to ensure comfortable seating.

She chose lacquered steel so that Valerie can be used both outdoors and indoors.

An optional seat cushion adds extra comfort. The fabric is woven and handcrafted in Belgium and was chosen by Marie for its unique tactile quality.
