TRIFOLIUM SIDE TABLE by Irene Maria Ganser
Trifolium side table, Irene Maria Ganser.
The three leaves of the trifolium have been sand-cast in bronze from driftwood found in the waters of the Salzach, in the Tennengebirge mountains. This is the river that cascades down into the historic city of Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace. Irene Ganser’s fascination for the structure of natural materials is mirrored in the ancient grain of the long weathered wood in which were shaped the three leaves of the clover. Hand-picked by the artist in the high pastures above the city, it stands for good fortune and the timeless message of the Trinity.
Material : Sanded and polished bronze
The Trifolium side table is true to Irene Maria Ganser's motto : "creating jewels out of nature".
The designs of Irene Maria Ganser are not just there to be admired, they are also to be touched. It is surprising how smooth and warm the solid metal surfaces of her pieces designs feel. The secret lies in the craftsmanship and high quality standards.
Living and working in Vienna, where all her pieces are created, Irene Maria Ganser finds inspiration in the local tradition of art foundry craftsmanship. Ganser successfully echoes the ubiquitous Jugendstil – brass, bronze, patina and craftsmanship. Her work is regularly shown at international design fairs, exhibitions as well as in the architectural press.
Made in very limited series, the artist's pieces are destined to become collectors' items. Each Trifolium side table comes with its own differences, making each one unique.
