The pure minimalism of The Altar resonates with the history of Belgian beguinages established in the 13th century, where pious yet independent women lived outside conventions. Its design is inspired by the altars and prayer kneelers found in their rooms.

Each steel piece is hand-cut, revealing the visible welds that testify to the exceptional artisanal work. The fluid assembly of these thin metal plates creates a striking lightness, making the object seem almost invisible, floating in space. The Altar becomes a sacred object of daily life, grounded in the present while infused with timeless poetry.

Cose in Corso's first collection, Les Âmes Simples "Simple Souls" in French, was born from co-founders Marzia Cerio and Marwann Frikach's fascination with this lifestyle that still raises essential questions today. Through simplicity and a direct connection with the artisan, they aim to design objects with a soul that transcend mere utility. Their practice focuses on pushing the boundaries between art and design. Each collection draws inspiration from history, archaeology, and geography, aiming to translate the essence of a region into physical form.
