FLEURS DES CHAMPS 1 by Invincible Eté
Fleurs des Champs 1, Invincible Eté.
The "Fleurs des Champs" cyanotype is a unique piece, entirely hand-made.
The cyanotype process uses a mixture of iron compounds, which when exposed to UV light and washed in water oxidise to create Prussian Blue images. The technique was invented in 1841 by Sir John Herschel and later popularised by photographer and botanist Anna Atkins.
Each "Fleurs des Champs" cyanotype comes on vellum paper and is manually embossed.
